Rolling Hills’ Middle School Ministry is designed to build on biblical truths our students have been taught to help them begin to OWN their faith.
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years are the most transformative years in the life of a teenager (body changes, identity, discovering new relationships, etc). Our goal is to partner with parents as they take the lead in the spiritual development of their teen.
There are many ways to connect within our Middle School Ministry at Rolling Hills:
We offer Small Groups for 6th-8th grade Students in the upstairs area on Sunday mornings during our 9:30am Worship hour. Small Groups are gender specific. During their time in Small Groups, students will learn these core truths:
- I will follow Jesus because He knows me better than I even know myself.
- I will define who I am by who God says that I am.
- I will discover that I am a valuable part of my church family.
Midweek Students is our weekly Wednesday night worship experience for students from 6-7:30 pm. It is designed specifically to engage our teens and their friends through creative biblical teaching, fun games and inspired worship. Our Midweek Student programs are held at the Ranson’s house.
Rolling Hills’ High School Ministry is designed to continue building on the biblical truths taught in Middle School. As our teens grow and own their faith, we want to provide them with many opportunities to actively grow in their spiritual maturity before leaving our ministry.
During high school years, the pressures of discovering who you are, what you want to do, how to put faith into action, how to use wisdom in relationships and how to handle more responsibility can be overwhelming. Our hope is to partner with parents to guide and encourage teens to actively live out their faith in everyday life and equip them with the spiritual maturity they will need to be successful in college and the world.
There are many ways to connect within our High School Ministry at Rolling Hills:
Every Sunday morning we encourage our High School students to serve the Body of Christ by using their gifts, talents, and abilities in the various ministry areas we have (Preschool, Kids, Middle School, A/V, Security, Greeters, etc.). We also encourage our students to Worship One/Serve One where students serve an hour and worship an hour—they have the freedom to choose which one. You can contact Nathan Doverspike for more information on how to serve
On Sunday nights from 5-6:30pm at the Rolling Hills Community Church Nolensville offices, we have a small group experience for our High School students. These groups are gender and age specific. With the experience, we provide a dinner for everyone. Our goal is to create an environment that encourages unity and conversation. After the dinner, students go to their group time. Our curriculum helps to develop and equip our student ministry with a deeper understanding of Scripture and how the story of Jesus Christ ties it all together. In every week and in every lesson, our students will encounter the gospel through the in-depth study of Bible, theology, and missions, with the view of seeing how all the Scriptures point to Jesus, and how the gospel has the ability to transform a student’s life. During their time in Small Groups, students will learn these core truths:
- I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with Jesus.
- I am designed to be an active part of a community who points each other to Christ.
- I exist every day to demonstrate God's love to a broken world.
