Summary

Herod considered himself a “king.” So, when the true King of kings was born, instead of worshipping Jesus, Herod tried to kill Him. Even today, many people see Jesus as a threat - a threat to their comfort and own self-interest. Yet, the irony is when we lay our lives down to Christ, then we truly find ourselves. When we allow Christ to be born in our heart, then we truly come alive. Jesus’ birth requires a response. What is your perspective on Jesus this Christmas – threat to your little kingdom or joy that Life has truly come? May we experience the Christ of Christmas this year! “Joy to the world, the Lord has come! Let earth receive her King.”
