We feel strongly that there is no better place to grow as a musician and worshipper than Nashville, Tennessee... Music City! Whether it’s the pursuit of worship pastoring, leading or writing worship music, or serving on a production or tech team, Rolling Hills Worship Institute faculty will help prepare students for a career in Worship Arts.
We have designed this program to equip students for work in ministry. It will provide education and practical hands-on training that will help prepare students for service in church ministry. We believe every church community has a God-given voice, and our instructors, who are active worship pastors and leaders, songwriters, producers, technicians, and industry professionals, will coach and mentor students to help them discover their contribution to church ministry.

If you are exploring a calling to Worship Arts Ministry or looking for a place to serve and develop your leadership and gifting, our courses cover a variety of ministry areas, including:
- Leadership - Learning to lead in worship both on and off the platform.
- Discipleship - Growing in your own faith is essential to leading others.
- Programming Authentic & Passionate Worship - The nuts and bolts of designing and executing a worship service week after week.
- Tech in the Church - Using modern technology in the church.
- Worship Songwriting - Learning to write songs your church will sing with sound theology that supports the mission of your church.
- Survey of Christian Music Business 101 - A broad-brush stroke of topics including songwriting, publishing, copyright, artist management, A&R, digital marketing, and more.
Our courses will work in tandem with lab exercises.

Who is this course designed for?
While the focus is primarily for college students, this course is for anyone that is considering a vocation in the vast field of Worship Arts.
How much does the course cost?
There is a non-refundable application fee of $25 and a non-refundable resources fee of $40.
Is this course offered online?
No, this course has been intentionally designed as in-person learning.
What classes do you offer?
Classes include leadership, discipleship, worship leading, songwriting intensive, DAW (ProTools, Ableton, Logic), and music industry survey.
How do the song intensives work?
Students will be coached by industry professionals in practical application of what it takes to be a “working” songwriter. There will be a focus on collaboration, project writing, writing for the congregation, working with deadlines, and other various dynamics of professional songwriting.
Will there be practical, hands-on learning opportunities?
Yes, every week. We feel it’s important in preparation for ministry in Worship Arts to have hands-on training in various technical skills and the general nuts and bolts of the day-to-day functionality of worship ministry.
What tools and equipment will I need for this class?
We provide workstations for each student, which include computers, software, and interface, as well as access to an onsite production studio.
How many hours a week will the program require?
Classes and practicum will require approximately 18-20 hours per week.
Is the program accredited in any way?
At this time the program is accredited only and specifically through the internship program at the college or university you currently attend.
Does it come with a certification at the end?
There will be a Graduation Certificate given to each student who completes the course.
Does the program provide housing and transportation?
While we do offer “host home” housing if needed, it is ultimately the student’s responsibility to plan for housing and transportation.
