Summary
If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, then one day you will spend eternity in Heaven! This is such good news. We live in a broken and fallen world because of sin, but one day it will all be made right. Jesus will take us to our eternal home, and we will be with God and our loved ones forever. Regardless of what you are facing today, know the best is yet to come in your life. Live as a citizen of heaven in this world today. God is preparing an awesome place for you!

1. In Heaven, you will have a new body.
And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body. Philippians 3:20b-21
- You will have a resurrected body.
- You will know people in Heaven.
- You will be the best version of you.
2. In Heaven, you will be in perfect relationship with God and with others.
So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
- Man was created to be in perfect relationship with God and with others.
- Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame. Genesis 2:25
- Man sinned, but Jesus atones for our sins.
- In Heaven, we will be in perfect relationship with God and with others.
3. We will have work to do in Heaven.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. Genesis 2:15
- Work was given before the Fall.
- In this broken world, sometimes relationships and work can be hard.
- But, God wants us to know that the best is yet to come.
- For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17
4. There will be crowns in Heaven.
Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. Revelation 22:12
- Crowns in heaven are based on what we do on this earth.
- There are five different crowns awarded in Heaven:
- Crown of Inheritance - 1 Corinthians 9:24-25
- Crown of Rejoicing - 1 Thessalonians 2:19
- Crown of Righteousness - 2 Timothy 4:8
- Crown of Glory - 1 Peter 5:4
- Crown of Life - Revelation 2:10
- We will ultimately lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus.
5. Live as a citizen of Heaven now.
For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. Philippians 3:18-20a
- Love God and others.
- Serve God now.
- Share Jesus with others.
- Invest generously in God’s Kingdom.
